Please email me at support@mumstheworld.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
What makes me unique is that personal touch. I’m not an agency service, or a nursery that requires minimum hours. I’m one mum, here to ask what it is that YOU need. And that may be different for each mum, that's what the flexibility is for. With me, both you and your child get that 1:1 support, for the time you need.
In short, no. My qualification covers from birth to 5 years, but I am happy to work alongside families with children aged from birth to 11 years, so end of primary school age.
I have over 6 years experience of working in various childcare settings with ages ranging from 3 months to 11 years. I also have experience of raising my own daughter, who's almost 3!
As I'm sure you can appreciate, I also have my own family to think of when it comes to my commitments. I will be willing to accept ad hoc evenings and weekends here and there, but unfortunately, I will not accept continuous bookings for evenings or weekends only. For example, if you're feeling strained and you and your partner could use a date night, I've got you covered. If it's parents evening and you don't want to take the baby along, I've got you covered.
If there are any specific evenings or weekends you need covered, just send me a message and I'll see if I can help!
As stated in my terms and conditions, my ratio for bookings where only childcare is required, is 1:1. This is a personal choice to allow me to give my full attention and ensure safeguarding remains paramount. Now for the confusing part - this ratio only applies if you're not present. For example, if you're feeling overwhelmed, and you just need some support and and extra pair of hands, I will accept bookings with multiple children. If you're going for an appointment or you're heading to a KIT day for work, I'll only accept these bookings for 1 child. I hope that makes sense and if you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer.
Absolutely not. When you book my time, that time is yours to do whatever it is you feel you need. Whether that's just to take a bath and soak in peace, you just want to go for a walk, or you have some errands to run and you don't want to pack up half the house to return a parcel!
From the mundane tasks, to the luxury of a spa day, I'm your answer to the lack of short-term, commitment free childcare. You shouldn't need to sign up to a minimum hour nursery commitment, just to enjoy a coffee in peace. You need flexibility. And don't worry, I won't phone you to collect your child because they have a runny nose!
There are a few things that I have added in my terms of service that won't be covered, so please ensure you take a look at these on the T's&C's. In short, I won't be there to clean your house, I'll help with general tasks but tidying up is very different from cleaning! My services are also not a replacement of full time childcare. I'm here to support and help multiple mums. If you require long term childcare, nurseries, nanny's and childminders are for you.
