By booking some time with me, that long list of jobs that constantly get put on the back burner, finally gets to be tackled. The wardrobes that need clearing out of all the clothes they've grown out of. The school applications for the eldest that take forever. The meal plans that we promise to start the following week can finally be organised. A run to the charity shop with those bags that have been piling up by the door. That diary that needs updating with the trillion things that go through our minds each day. Our to-do lists are endless, but I can help lighten that mental load.
As a mum, it's sad to think of the small things that become our moments of sanity. That 5 minutes in the car taking a breath before you tackle the next task of getting everyone in the house again. That time spent staring at the wall when everyone is finally asleep, and the exhaustion takes over. The deep breathes at the kitchen sink whilst you make your 3rd drink of the day, hoping that'll you'll get to drink this one whilst it's still warm. When you need that break, just a few hours to rest and refresh, you can relax in the knowledge that your child is in safe hands.
You're lost in the most amazing bubble of this new family you've created, and then all of a sudden reality sinks in. Your partner returns to work, your friends are still living their child free lives and you feel this sudden responsibility on your shoulders alone. The weeks float into months, yet the days seem to last forever. Whether you want to soak up that quality time with your new baby whilst I tidy up or you just want someone else to be there, to share the load. I'll be there to cover all basis.
However long you've had at home with your baby, leaving them to return to work is daunting. So if you're child is due to start at a childcare setting, and you've not had much time apart, you can book my time on an ad-hoc basis so both you and your baby can get used to having some time apart prior to their start date. You may feel more confident if you get that stress free, commitment free time for you both, before starting full time in a new setting.
